After a weekend of epic downloading I happened to reach 300 artists in my Zune.
To celebrate, I changed my Zune bg to a 300 - tonight we dine in hell graphic.
I though it was pretty cool.

Eggs?
Tonight's homework consists of (big surprise) more drawing.
This time it's...eggs.
I have to keep asking myself,
How the hell did I end up at Art School?
Seriously, I want to work with computers.
How did I get here?

For future reference...
I don't have internet at my new apartment right now, so any future updates will be sporadic at best. Not that any one reads this blog anyway, but whatever.

This Story's Old But It Goes On And On Until We Disappear
We are termites; tunneling through the rotting wood of our self-righteous little ship. The blind storm that ravishes our vessel is named only for Virgil's genetic evil.
It tosses us against phantom reefs, lacerating our hull. One by one our monetary ballast chambers rupture, hemorrhaging our livelihoods to be lost amidst the waves.
Fearing the dark Depression of the ocean depths, we sound a plea to our forsaking captain. At the behest of the last of his slurring orders, we begin the dreary task of bloodletting the Proletarian ungulate masses in order to refill the emptied veins of the morally bankrupt Bourgeoisie.
Our attempts are admirable, yet in our haste we neglect to seal the holes still perforating our hull. Our holy little ship, sanctified by its own pecuniary stigmata, bleeds our verdant doom into the emerald waters that swallow us whole.
All but the captain go down with the ship.

Still Alive
Holy Hell?!
How did I manage to go a whole month without making a blog post?
...Oh right this me we're talking about.
Well I'm here, alive and well, with some pretty exciting news.
First of all I finally got a new cell phone; it's a green Sony Ericsson. It's really cool and slidy.
I also recently got a new laptop for school. It's this really cool Gateway FX and it's orange and black like Halloween.
My mom also confirmed that I WILL get to stay in student housing for school instead of having to commute.
And since I'll be in student housing, I got to get new bed stuff from Target, which I love.
The picture shows the comforter, but we also added a lot of blue and green accents.
I also recently found a DVD version of yet another of my childhood favorite movies. This time it was The Dark Crystal, a Jim Henson masterpiece with weird-looking fantasy puppets. It's great.

Plus it was a buy one get one free deal so I also picked up Dr. Strangelove Or How I Stopped Worrying And Learned To Love The Bomb.
Let me just say, Stanley Kubrick was a cinematic genius. Seriously.
That's about it for new stuff.
Yesterday, I got to see Lauren's school and her dorm, and then she came with us for my school registration.
We went to Souper Salad for lunch and got magnets from my school. Lauren was cute; she kept taking pictures of everything like a tourist.
It was a great day.
I have my driver's test next week and there's like 29 days before I start college.
I'm starting to get nervous.

Horribly Wonderful! XD
I. Freaking. Love. Dr. Horrible.
Watch. And be enlightened.
You know I almost missed seeing this musical wonderment.
I first heard about it a few weeks ago on the news page for Ctrl+Alt+Del, and I guess I didn't fully understand what it was, so I ignored it. A little while later, I saw it mentioned on Wil Wheaton's blog , and yet still I didn't feel compelled enough to look into it. That probably would have been the end of it if I hadn't happened to be looking through Meg Cabot's blog on Saturday night and even she was talking Dr. Horrible.
So basically, one of my favourite Webcomic Artists/Writers, a totally awesome and nerdy ex-Star Trek: TNG Actor, and one of the best Chick-Lit authors I have ever read were all excited about Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. I had to see what all the fuss was about.
O.M.F.G.
It's a Musical.
About Super-Villains.
Starring Neil Patrick Harris.
And Nathan Fillion.
Created by Joss Whedon, one of the writers from Runaways.
I don't know if such a great combination has ever before come to life. I love it.
I just wish there was more. I want to see more of Dr. Horrible with his new coat. Also I can't stop listening the songs.

Purchases and Upgrades
So today I ordered a Wacom 9x12 Graphics Tablet, and I'm pretty stoked about it. I have wanted one for a while, and I'll be able use it for school in the fall.
I also pre-ordered Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer, which is set to come out next month.
I updated my my computer's Firefox from 2.0 to 3.0 today and I also added this add-on called PicLens. It's pretty awesome for viewing pictures and videos on the Internet, but works with a few websites like MySpace, YouTube, Flickr, etc. I wish it worked with everything, though. It's really cool.
Also, tonight's new episode of Flipping Out was crazy with drama.

Passive-Aggressive Warfare
Dear Arbiter,
If you keep jumping into my line of fire, I can't help it if I accidentally shoot you. This is simple 'friendly fire' protocol. Stay out of my cross hairs and I will stay out of yours. Thank you.

Dawn of the...Flood?
So Halo 3 is pretty awesome, but damn do the I hate The Flood.
I generally hate any form of the un-dead, mostly because they're so damn hard to kill...or re-kill as it were. Usually the best way to be rid of most forms of the un-dead involves one of four things: Fire, Explosives, a Shotgun, or a combination of the three, all of which are usually in short supply.
And really, zombies are bad enough, but The Flood, The Flood are alien-mutant-zombies. It's just not pleasant.
Oh and also could The Flood ship be any more creepy, with its slimy walls, pulsating boils, and ...sphincter-doors.
Although, it did sort of remind me of Lord Jabu-Jabu's belly from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Chief? Maybe. Chef? Apparently, No.
I started playing Halo 3 today. It's the first game I've ever played on the Xbox and therefore the only Halo game I've ever played, but I like it so far (and I'm actually pretty familiar with most Halo-related things because I'm a huge Red vs. Blue fan).
I'd probably like it better if their was an option to switch to a 3rd-person view, but then they probably couldn't call it a 1st-person shooter. It's just, with 1st-person shooters I get so disoriented. I think the reason is that I can't see my feet. I mean, I usually have to watch my feet in real life, or else I have a risk of tripping over something.
Other than that, I really like the story, and Master Chief is pretty cool. Although, I generally love anyone who has even the slightest sarcastic streak running through them.
Besides playing Halo, the other thing I did today was try to make a Jell-o Mold. Try, of course, being the key word there. In the end it fell apart, and I was left with a bowl of slightly eviscerated-looking Jell-o instead. Still tastes good though.
Also, by request, I have a picture of my new TV, Curtis.

Pleasant Surprise
Today did not start out as I had intended it to. For starters, I slept through my alarm and woke up at 11:59 am rather than 8:00 am. However, given the fact that while I went to bed at about 11:30 pm last night, but wasn't able to actually get to sleep until nearly 6:30 am this morning, I think that waking up at noon was better than it could have been.
After getting up, having breakfast (which was really more like lunch at that point), and checking my e-mail, I was about to do a bit of simple exercise (nothing more that a few crunches, push ups, etc...), when I received quite a pleasant surprise. The new television that I ordered last week arrived. I was surprised because I wasn't expecting it until at least the 18th, but it got here early.
The TV is a 15" flat panel LCD screen that I found on amazon.com for only $150. It's silver and super light wight and has this nice little handle on the back for easy carrying. It also has this nifty little feature of also being a computer screen. Technically, it's not actually "new," it's "refurbished," but it was still a really good deal and after setting it up, I really like it so far.
I think I shall call it Curtis...because that's the brand name...
I bought it because my former TV (an old magnovox tube) had no AV hook ups (for game consuls, DVD players, etc...) and (besides the fact that I haven't been able to play my Gamecube or PS2 on the damn thing in ages) I recently came into possession of a new Xbox 360 (I won it and a new Nintendo DS at my school's Project Graduation) that I would like to actually use. I also ordered a couple of games for the 360, Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect, but they having arrived yet. However, my wondrous best friend Lauren got me Halo 3 for a graduation present, so I think I'll start with that.
So I got a little side tracked with setting it up and everything, but I did get in a good bit of calisthenics for the day.
In other news, I found out that the diocese of Rome has forbidden Sony Pictures from filming scenes for the Angels & Demons movie in two of the important churches from the book, the Santa Maria del Popolo (Alter of Earth) and Santa Maria della Vittoria (Alter of Fire). Their reasoning for this is because they think that Angels & Demons follows the same theme as its sequel, The Da Vinci Code.
I disagree, Da Vinci Code focuses heavily on Jesus and Mary Magdalene and such, which would understandably upset some people in the church because it is a rather touchy subject with them, but Angels & Demons has very little, if anything, to do with Jesus. In fact, I don't recall him being mentioned even once in the whole book. Angels & Demons has to do with religion and science in general, and yes there may some of the devout who may not like the idea of science and religion existing in harmony, but I think that's hardly reason enough to bar the film crew from the church. I almost wonder if anyone on the diocese has even read the book.
Well that's about all I have for today, I think I'll go set my 360 now.
