This Story's Old But It Goes On And On Until We Disappear

We are termites; tunneling through the rotting wood of our self-righteous little ship. The blind storm that ravishes our vessel is named only for Virgil's genetic evil.

It tosses us against phantom reefs, lacerating our hull.
One by one our monetary ballast chambers rupture, hemorrhaging our livelihoods to be lost amidst the waves.

Fearing the dark Depression of the ocean depths, we sound a plea to our forsaking captain. At the behest of the last of his slurring orders, we begin the dreary task of bloodletting the Proletarian ungulate masses in order to refill the emptied veins of the morally bankrupt Bourgeoisie.

Our attempts are admirable, yet in our haste we neglect to seal the holes still perforating our hull. Our holy little ship, sanctified by its own pecuniary stigmata, bleeds our verdant doom into the emerald waters that swallow us whole.

All but the captain go down with the ship.

Still Alive

Holy Hell?!

How did I manage to go a whole month without making a blog post?

...Oh right this me we're talking about.

Well I'm here, alive and well, with some pretty exciting news.

First of all I finally got a new cell phone; it's a green Sony Ericsson. It's really cool and slidy.

I also recently got a new laptop for school. It's this really cool Gateway FX and it's orange and black like Halloween. My mom also confirmed that I WILL get to stay in student housing for school instead of having to commute.

And since I'll be in student housing, I got to get new bed stuff from Target, which I love.

The picture shows the comforter, but we also added a lot of blue and green accents.

I also recently found a DVD version of yet another of my childhood favorite movies. This time it was
The Dark Crystal, a Jim Henson masterpiece with weird-looking fantasy puppets. It's great.

Plus it was a buy one get one free deal so I also picked up Dr. Strangelove Or How I Stopped Worrying And Learned To Love The Bomb.

Let me just say, Stanley Kubrick was a cinematic genius. Seriously.

That's about it for new stuff.

Yesterday, I got to see Lauren's school and her dorm, and then she came with us for my school registration.

We went to Souper Salad for lunch and got magnets from my school. Lauren was cute; she kept taking pictures of everything like a tourist.

It was a great day.

I have my driver's test next week and there's like 29 days before I start college.

I'm starting to get nervous.
